Björk is Heartbroken, but Not About Her Album Leak

Despite the fact that her cotton candy hair at the 16th Annual Webby Awards in 2012 was questionable at best, her sculptural dress was definitely award winning.
This sequined, sculptural gown at Polar Music Prize conference in 2010, however, was a complete fail.
Björk looked stunning at Marina Abramovic's closing reception in this gold lamé number.
The songstress wow'd the crowd at her 2009 performance at the Housing Works Bookstore in a refreshingly casual outfit.
The tassels and facepaint on Björk's outfit at her Vingio Parkas performance in 2008 fell flat.
While Björk's vocal skills are undisputable, this metallic pink dress that she wore on tour in 2008 is just awful.
Björk shows off her penchant for color in one of her more questionable getups at the Sonofilia Festival in 2007.<><>
This outfit from the Rock en Seine Music Festival in 2007 is over-the-top, in a good way.
Björk went more conventional in a chic, all-white ensemble for her Live 8 Japan concert back in 2005.
Whether you were wow'd or said WTF, no Björk gallery would be complete without the mention of the swan dress that she wore in honor of the 73rd Annual Academy Awards.

After the internet leak of Björk’s new album, Vulnicura, the singer-songwriter has announced that she has decided to expedite the album’s release date by two months. Rather than being devastated like Madonna, Björk took a page out of Beyonce’s book used the element of surprise to her advantage. Björk remained optimistic––despite the fact that her Facebook deems Vulnicura as "a complete heartbreak album"––and has thanked her fans for still being interested in her music.

While “Pagan Poetry” and “Human Behaviour” will always have a special place in my iTunes library, Björk’s music is not the only thing that I’m interested in. With the abrupt announcement of her new album, I was also reminded of why Björk is still one of this century's most influential style icons. With over 32 singles under her belt and being single-handedly responsible for immortalizing the swan dress, the eccentric Icelandic singer has cemented herself as a champion of both sartorial and musical style.

From super chic to eccentric and ‘Wow’-inducing to WTF, see the slideshow above to see the best and worst of Bjork’s fashion moments.
