Rag & Bone to Use Film Instead of Catwalk for New Men’s CollectionEvery season Rag & Bone refuse to unveil seasonal collections with traditional catwalks and fashion shows. Their innovative take on unleashing each successive line is an inspiration and utilizes all art forms. In the past they have done films based on their women's line, photo exhibits on their menswear, and now the label will turn to legendary dancer Mikhail Baryshnikov and rising star Lil Buck, who will star in a short film wearing pieces from the fall men’s collection this Tuesday. The short film will premiere at Rag & Bone’s fashion ‘event’ on February 3 in New York.
Rag & Bone deviate from the traditional catwalk season after season.
The film is directed by Georgie Greville of Legs Media with still imagery by portrait photographer Andreas Laszlo Konrath. Marcus Wainwright and David Neville said the film was shot with a very kinetic concept against a stark backdrop. Rag & Bone has been around since 2002 and continues to find success in more than 700 shops world wide. The New York-based brand hopes to continue to make a splash in the fashion scene without runways.
