Lily-Rose Depp Debuts Modeling Career at ChanelParis-Salzburg Metiers d’Art collection was transported from Austria to New York on Tuesday night by Karl Lagerfeld. First shown at the Schloss Leopoldskron in December, Lagerfeld had a replica of the set erected in a mere 36 hours comprised of a grandiose salon-like setting complete with antique couches, tables and chandeliers. Chanel shows are known for their decadence in every aspect and to add to the decadence was Lily-Rose Depp’s, daughter of actor Johnny Depp and Chanel model/muse/French actress/icon Vanessa Paradis, runway debut.
The 15-year-old Depp wore a light blue two-piece–a crop top with an attached scarf and a long skirt that was hand embroidered with crystals. The budding fashion star looked elegant beyond her years and after the runway presentation that comprised 70 looks that were inspired by traditional Austrian wardrobe, Depp and Paradis spoke with Lagerfeld in fluent French.
After the legendary show, guests such as Dakota Johnson, Patti Smith, and Beyoncé moseyed into an adjoining room for champagne, passed plates, and to watch Reincarnation––a short film directed by Lagerfeld that stars Pharrell Williams and Cara Delevingne. Pharrell then performed a live set that included an original piece called “CC The World” which included a quick solo refrain by Delevingne, who turns out to have quite an impressive voice. “Blurred Lines” and “Happy” were also performed in a spectacular form.
Following the incredible live set, the DJ took over and Lily-Rose was seen spinning around the dance floor in her sparkling Chanel outfit.
