Sotheby’s to Auction Vintage Couture for First Time

Sotheby’s is having it’s very first high-fashion collection auction on July 8 in Paris with vintage haute couture from designers like Christian Dior and Yves Saint Laurent up for auction.

Didier Ludot, the owner of the most famous vintage store in Paris, is putting the items up for auction from his personal collection crafted from 1924 to the early 2000s with all pieces in their original condition.

Garments worn by the likes of Jerry Hall, Elizabeth Taylor and the Duchess of Windsor will all go on sale. Take a look at some of the standout pieces from the 150 outfits and accessories going on sale in the slideshow. All items will be auctioned at the starting price of 800 to 12,000 euros beginning on July 3.
